Font Licences & Orginal Files Question

Hi all, I have a client who has requested the original files for a project that I recently completed (they paid for a full release of the files). However in regards to the fonts that were used, if the client used existing fonts that I bought for myself, is it legal to release these fonts to my client? Wouldn't that be considered re-distributing the fonts which is a violation of the licensing agreement?

I thought, and correct me if I'm wrong, if a client didn't buy the fonts I can't release them since they're only licensed to me and to be used only on my computer?

Any advice would be appreciated.

Fonts are licensed per-site or per-user, not per-project. Therefore you must inform your client that you cannot distribute fonts but would be happy to help him to license the correct ones for himself. Then just point the client to linotype.com or whatever and tell him what fonts he needs.
