Alright, so I have a 17 minute long DV file on my computer that I'd like to import into iTunes to edit.
When I do, I'm told that for whatever ridiculous reason, I'm only allowed to import 9 and a half minutes of video at a time. It suggests I use QT Pro to cut the video into segments and re-upload.
I'm really not interested in blowing the money on QuickTime for this, so does anybody have any suggestions to get around this, or split the DV file without losing quality?
Thanks.

Try MPEG Streamclip to break up the DV file. Be sure to have a back-up copy of the DV file in case anything gets screwed up.
