I'm going to the US for the first week of January. Since it looks like the new Penryn Mac Pros won't be out until MacWorld, then I won't be able to bring one back with me to Germany.

But I was thinking that I could already buy RAM in the US, since that'll be cheaper and available.

Could anyone tell me what kind of RAM the new Mac Pro? It is possible to guess that at all? Also, where would be the best place to buy it?

Thanks!

It will, most likely, support both 667Mhz and 800Mhz Fully Buffered DDR2 DIMMs.

In other words, it's anyone's guess. Don't buy any RAM until the specs are announced by Apple.
