I'm wondering how I'm suppose to set up this configuration in my room:
Have a Home Cinema speaker set connected to my HDTV and also to my intel iMac, but I know that the iMac only has one hole for the sound plug so how am I even going to make this work?

I always play my music on my iMac and with the new xbox 360 update I can now also stream(connect360) my avi movies and tv shows from my iMac-->360 so I can play them on my big HDTV.
But I need a good bass sound for both systems so I thought that this would be the best idea.

Or should I just get 2 systems...the Logitech Z-4i (white) for my iMac and a Home Cinema set for my TV.

Does your receiver have an optical audio input? If so, that's the way to go. You can get 5.1 DD or DTS using DVD Player app or VLC (buggy as hell) with MKV/AC-3 files.
