View Full Version : Question about upgrading from 1.02 to 1.1.1 jailbreak

Ok, I;'ve been using a jailbroke 1.02 iphone for a while, and finally going to upgrade to 1.1.1 with the jailbreakme.com deal. I have the 1.1.1 restore downloaded. All the guides I have seen are about downgrading from 1.1.2. Basically im wondering if I have to use Iphuc or Independence once I upgrade or if things will be different since Im not downgrading. Thanks.

Is your phone unlocked or are you with AT&T?

I can kind of help you if you are with AT&T. I made sure not to download the 1.1.2 firmware update, and then I restored my 1.0.2, installed 1.1.1, went straight to jailbreakme.com and I havent had any problems since...

I'm with AT&T. I was hoping I could just upgrade to 1.1.1 that I downloaded, then go straight to jailbreakme and be done with it.

Besides restoring, that is pretty simple. But before you restore, make sure you sync so that after the upgrade, your music, contacts, texts, notes, and bookmarks, possibly more are automatically added back to your phone...
