So heres the situation... Usually I use my own HDV camera and don't have any problems importing footage, but my camera won't let me get video off of my tv onto the dv tape. So I have to use one of my schools GL1's to do this. When import the footage I use the easy setup DV-NTSC. When I drag the footage into the timeline it wants me to render all of it. I have done this previously and have not had the problem. Also when I import dv footage at school onto my MBP I use the Panasonic decks they have and do not run into this problem.
