PLEASE Help!!! downgrade to 1.1.1

I know there are links all over the place...trust me I have looked tried and have had NO &*^&% luck. Heres the deal ....Bought a itouch it was new with 1.1.1 firmware. I updated the firmware through Itunes to 1.1.2. I am on a mac and now I would like to restore 1.1.1 on the touch, but it won;t work. Can someone give me step by step for a mac instructions on how to do this please? All I keep getting from the downloads is a .zip file and I am no seeing the little BOX icon that all the other mac users are getting.

Ok follow these steps in order.

1. Start downloading this file to your desktop

2. Plug ipod into computer

3. Open Itunes

4. Hold down Power and Home buttion on Ipod Touch till it turns off

5. Hold down power button the second you see any thing on screen take finger off of power and hold down home. You may need to try steps 4-5 a few times till it starts in recovery mode.

6. I tunes will tell you it needs to restore.

7. Hold down the option key i think. [it might be the apple key] And press restore when you do that it will pop up a box asking what file you want to use. if the window did not pop up try the other key i said in step 7.

8. Choose the file I had you download in step 1. It will install 1.1.1 for you.

where do I find the maps app as well as the weather app etc from the Iphone?

ok after you jail break it.

on the home screen you will see the installer

open the installer

on the bottom of the installer window click on the one called sources

right below the battery icon click on edit

on the top left click add

type in: http://repo.us.to

hit ok then done.

Restart ipod touch.

Open installer

go to tab on bottom called install

Look for the one called Iphone 1.1.1 Apps for...

open that one

If you are going to use Mobile Mail or Maps

You need to install the Prep files first restart and install the regular file

Otherwise have fun :-p
