Spherical Panoramas

This christmas, I'm getting a Kodak Z812 IS and Loepard. So I was looking online for cool digital photography projects and I came across sites with these really cool spherical panoramas that you can navigate around in. I have made regular panoramas with Hugin, but these look way different. What would I need to start making these besides the Kodak?
