Does a streaming AppleTV mark video/podcasts as 'seen' in iTunes?

If I were to stream (or sync) some videos/podcasts, to an AppleTV, would they be marked as 'seen' (or not new) in iTunes?

The blue dot goes away and it is marked as seen. I havent seen if it increses the play count, but Im sure it does.

If you watch the episode all the way through (or close to the end) it will update the playcount as well.
