I dont know too much about Samsung models so I cant tell you whether it's good or not. But I had a quick peek on it and it has a nice case.

I'm using the 940bw and satisfied. If I had to buy a new one I would choose omething around 22".

Well i used to use one Dell 24” 2405FP and for managing applications just made several areas in spaces after donating that to my mother I bought two 23" Apple Cinema Displays admitidly part of this was for the unity of all my apple products but I've never looked back:D

For the last year I've been using 2 Dell 20" widescreen monitors but then I got my hands on a Wacom Cintiq 15" tablet so I had 3 monitors. My biggest problem was when I'd open up a file in Photoshop for example, I'd be looking on one monitor and the new window would pop up on another. Not a huge deal but it got annoying after awhile. Solution: I bought a refurbished Dell 27" monitor and disconnnected the two 20" displays. Much better. I have to say though, its tempting to hook up all 4 displays just for the hell of it.

2 monitors. Too bad, that's the maximum supported by the MBP at the moment.

Say I had need to work on a website:

I could have the code on monitor and the webpage on other. I could just constantly look at the other monitor to see the changes oppose to having to constantly tab back and forth.

Of say you needed to do your taxes while watching your kids on a surveillance software; again, no need to tab back and forth.

Kind of crappy examples, but the more desktop space you have, the more application windows you can have opened and still do everything.

My poor Dell 24in gave up recently so I'm down to just the 15in MBP display. I think I'll put a 1080p panel up to it after Christmas.

seriously all these extra monitors seems like a waste of energy. If they were solar powered then that's fine, but why the excess, you can still do work with one monitor just fine. This is my opinion btw, if you need it for work then I guess, no bigge.

Depends on what you use your computer for...

At work I use two Thinkvision 20" monitors, at home I've got a 23" ACD.

The two monitors for work are quite handy, but at home the single 23" monitor does just fine... that and I don't think I could fit another 23" monitor on my desk at home. ;)

I would like to have two 30" monitors, or even just one 30" monitor. I have to deal with my 19" monitor on my desktop and with my laptops. They are wants and not needs. :(

1. I've tried dual desktop, and I can't get used to it.

Only use it when I have a project to do where I need the internet and Word open, or something to that effect.

My main Mac is in my bedroom (Mini Mac) ive got that hooked up to my 32" Samsung LCD TV mainly to watch movies, listen to music & use eye tv for freeview+. So i guess my MBP is my main Mac but i use that on the go so no room or power for a second monitor

Three total: two 19" monitors and a 13" NTSC Broadcast Monitor for color grading. All my dual processor Macs have two 19" monitors.

To answer the "why so many?" question: video post-production...

Technically there's three!

Two 30" Apple Cinema Displays plus a Wacom Cintiq 21ux tablet all on one MacPro!!

It's great when working in FCS2, Première & Afx, allows for editing, manipulation and preview.

Just 1. Why would you need more than one? If you were going to spend that much then get a 40in HD LCD and use Spaces.

Just a 17" LCD Studio Display with my MBP in clamshell mode. Unfortuantely, my desk doesn't allow room for 2 displays. Soon I'd like to get a 20"+ sized display.

My Macbook, and a 24" 1920x1200 BenQ display. Displays work so much better in Windows. I hate having to close my Macbook, and then wake it, every time I want the full resolution of my external display.
