I just bought the JVC GR-D775 for my daughter to connect to her Imac (less than a year old). The camcorder uses mini dv tapes for video and sd card for stills. As far as I can tell, I cannot get video to the imac without buying something. Can someone tell what I need (because I'm not a imac user) and also would I be better off getting a different camera? I don't want to get above the $250.00 range. Thanks!!!!

all you need is a 4pin to 6pin firewire cable. you can buy these at just about any electronics store.
