hi guys.

i need to help a friend here and i thought of asking you iPhone savvy users.

i got a friend living in a country where the iPhone is not sold (yet). he'd love to get one.

in the country where he lives, his phone company allows him to surf with his phone over gprs 100 mb/month.

can a hacked iPhone use the gprs from his phone company?

would love to hear any experiences.

You can unlock the iPhone, this might allow him to access GPRS. But its risky.
If you want more infomation contact me on; ipod.touch.om@googlemail.com

Thanks :) :)

Not risky at all.

Easy to set up just need the Edge/GPRS details, stick them into the iPhone and it works flawlessly.

I'm doing it myself in Ireland on the Vodafone network. My dataplan is 500mb's a month.

Can I assume you get the details from your service provider?
