Here's another one. One of our Macs will not allow users to logon to their network accounts. The Macs are integrated into a Windows server enviroment using active directory. I have checked and double checked the settings in directory access, and they are all correct, the mac is bound to the network, but when I enter a network username and password the login screen just shakes. Using os x 10.4.10.

I'm having the same problem. With the exception that I'm on OS X Server. Checked and rechecked everything, only solution I have come up with is format & start over. Can you log in to a local account? In my case, I could not. Even with a known good Admin account. Bizarre.

This is a common problem, but the answer is still out there... bottom line, login servers are notoriously unreliable, so I would find a different method of logging on. Sorry...:apple:
