The fans in my Mac Pro are apparently in Blitzkrieg Mode right now, and I have no idea why. They are as loud as they are in a firmware update. The only thing unusual is that I moved the computer to a different room several hours ago. Please advise.
 
SMC prolly got confused... it happens.

Reset SMC by unplugging the power cord, waits um, about 5 minutes is more than enough. Plug the power cord back in.

Should be fine. There is a switch inside on the logic board called SMC Reset. Could do that instead but this way keeps you from having to pop the side off.

Good luck - I'm pretty sure this will take care of it.
 
Seems to have worked. I unplugged it and went to dinner, came back and turned it on. Thanks for the help. :apple:
