if you have a 2.4 iMac 24" and had the chance to
swap it for a 2.4 macbook pro 15"... no charge

I was just offered that option as well, I was so close to doing so but then I just got a mbp for xmas, but what it boiled down to is you are more portable or not, also if you need that much power when you are portable? If anything keep your imac for your video card purposes and get a macbook for on the good stuff 🙂
 
ya, i dunno.. but that iPod touch looks pretty damn good for a little
portability....
 
I did the same thing. The iMac is kind of nice but in reality its pointless if you can afford to buy a 24'' monitor, because the Macbook Pro has a better video card and comes in the same speed, etc. The only thing that would really suffer is hard drive space, and that can be fixed easily.
