I need to test sites in IE6 and IE7. What's the best way to do this? I have VMWare Fusion, should I just make a snapshot with IE6 installed and a snapshot with IE7 installed?

I know there's also this: http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/11/30/ie6-and-ie7-running-on-a-single-machine.aspx

Has anyone tried that running through either VMware or Parallels? It seems weird virtualizing again inside of virtualization.

And I know there's a way with Crossover to do this but is that really render accurately? I'd rather see the site the way a surfer with IE6 installed out of the box sees it.

Hmm and one other way I guess would be using http://www.vmware.com/products/converter/ which claims it can convert Virtual PC images, so I could possibly use it with the free Microsoft one?

I'm not sure how to help you, but you may have more luck in the Web design and development forum:

it's so much easier to run ie from mac os itself, don't you think?

Does that give you IE6 exactly like it would be for someone using it natively on Windows though? Specifically I need to know that sessions and forms are treated exactly the same way, not just rendering.
