Airport stopped working. no light. comp cant locate.

it suddenly stopped working. it wont show under AirPort Admin Utility. the light doesnt go orange or green. i tried diff outlets and i tried holding down reset.
its the old airport xpress, not the new one.
ill take it apart if i have to.
any ideas?

Sounds like its fried to me. How old is it? Still under warranty?

There's a new Airport Express? 😕

The Airport Express seems to have an unnaturally short life. One of mine died after a couple of years, and Macbidoulle (HardMac) has a few articles on it. For example, here (botttom of page).

If it's any consolation, I sold my dead one on eBay for about £30. Yes I was perfectly honest about its condition... it seems there's a market out there created by people who think it's worth trying to repair them.
