A while back, I realized that Software Update is not automatically updating, even though the box is selected to check for new updates daily. Is this a known problem for anyone? Is there an easy fix? Is there a way to reinstall Software Update or something? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

By the way, I have Leopard now, but the problem existed with Tiger as well...

My tiger machine behaves in the same way. My guess is that it's normal.

It may actually be checking for updates, but it doesn't seem to notify me when there are any. 🙄

I don't think it is normal because it used to notify me when updates were available. Then it just stopped working one day. Any idea how to fix it?

Is this a bug? Is everyone in the same boat here or is it a problem that can be fixed?
