View Full Version : Will this ram work in mac mini ?

am thinking of going to 4gb since its not that much more in price than 3 and id like to stay dual channel if possible.

Mac minis cannot handle 4 GB of memory (most recent models can support up to 2 GB). Sorry. :(

mine can take 3, but ive seen many reports you can put in 4 for dual channel and it just wont use all of it.

Mini Core2Duos can take 2 Gb modules. 3 - 3.3 Gb usable if 2 x 2 Gb are installed.

it will recognize the 4GB but only uses 3GB

so this work fine ? great, i probably wont order it till after xmas now but definitely want to upgrade my ram to the max so i can use photoshop as well as run xp comfortably within fusion.

I was using the crucial memory advisor tool and it said a max of 2 GB. :confused:
