Duke Nukem Forever Teaser Trailer Released

As promised yesterday (actually an hour earlier than promised), we are proud to finally bring you an all new teaser trailer for Duke Nukem Forever. I'm sure you don't want to read us blab about it, you want to go watch the video. We will try and update our list of downloadable links when we can, but with our server so swamped it might be difficult.

Incredible, though. I don't care much for Duke Nukem, but "When DNF comes out" has come to replace the phrase "When pigs fly" for many people. If it ever comes out, that alone will be an incredible feat.

For those not familiar with DNF, it was announced in 1997 using the Quake II engine and has been endlessly delayed since.

Hells yea. I mean there has been a slew of staple SciFi films for them to mimic. Come on guys :D

What I've noticed (thanks Quicktime!) is it looks like Duke 3D all over again. Maybe it'll be like Doom 1&3? The pigs are wearing EDF clothing. Looks like some big backgrounds too so it'll be more than a corridor shooter.

I just loved the control system and physics of Terminal Velocity. Playing it with a joystick was teh awesome and felt so natural. I was hoping for the same kind of feeling with Defender for the 'Cube but alas I was sorely let down.

I was hoping for at least 1 second of gameplay... Also, on the site it says something like "Coming when we are done with it" and I think it is only confirmed for comp for now. Yes I think they might end up releasing it on the 20th announcement anniversary (announced '97) :D.

... They did show gameplay? It just didn't have a HUD but that was ingame footage of close up attacks.

Well at least the truth is in the title.....FOREVER....thats how long its taking to make this game.

After all the jokes, frustration and everything else surrounding this (up until now) "mythical" game, part of me hopes that since it has been the brunt of so much criticism, it ends up being simply the best game ever made. :D ;)

You know, I forgot about Ghost about a year ago. And now, I'm intently focused on Starcraft 2. :cool: Let's hope we see it sometime in 2008... :o
