Email not working on gprs, Works with WIFI

Hi all
My iphone will not work with email on gprs, it works fine on wifi, and I have tried my AOL, hotmail, yahoo all with no luck on gprs.
I have only just got the iphone, uk model 1.1.2 on 02 payg
Any Body any ideas

With O2 PAYG you will not get EDGE or email.

Try O2 Simplicity which is very good value for money and will give you both. Although a contract it has no minimum term and can be terminated with 30 days notice.

In fact, with a data bolt on you can have 200 minutes, 400 texts, and unlimited data for just £22.50 per month. Beat that!

Hi and thank you for the reply.
At the moment on GPRS PAYG I get wap only, when I get E display I tried utube and it loaded and play clips but still no email

The problem is as you say - it's wap only on PAYG. E-Mail uses a different protocol and it appears that's blocked by O2 on PAYG
 
i recently activated and jailbrocken using an o2 payg sim and i think you can only use o2 email addresses unless you use a simplicity or contract sim
 
thanks guys for all the info.
however this iPhone on payg has had the mod done and will work on internet on gprs and edge, I don't now how he did it he did ask me before I paid him if I would like internet on contract or payg as I could only have 1 or the other
