Hi,

I want to format my hard drive so I can transfer things to my PS3 easily. The PS3 only reads drives which hare FAT32 formatted. In Disc Utility the options are MS-DOS FAT. Is that the option for FAT32 that I should use?

Many thanks!

Yes.

Now impress all of us and put OS X on your PS3. It has a PowerPC processor. ; )

Or get YDL (http://www.terrasoftsolutions.com/products/ydl/) on it :)

You can only put Linux on the PS3.

Okay I formatted it as FAT32 in Disc Utility but then Time Machine switches it back to MAC OSX Extended Jounral. Is there a way to use a FAT32 drive with Time Machine? Or will I have to user another application because it's only available for Mac?

Thanks :s

Is there a way to use a FAT32 drive with Time Machine?

OS X can only run on an HFS formatted drive (maybe ZFS too, if we're lucky), so my guess is that Time Machine couldn't run off a FAT32 drive.

I guess my only option is to use SuperDuper when it becomes compatible with Leopard, or another app then.

Thanks for your help :)
