View Full Version : Epson scanner won't work

I have an Epson Perfection scanner. It's hooked up and the System Profiler detects it, but when I launch Image Capture it says no device is connected. I installed Epson's driver software and nothing changed. I've tried launching just the driver, but it doesn't launch and stay open like a normal application.

What do I do? The reviews on Versiontracker say that the Epson software has problems. Should Image Capture have worked without that?

Okay, that works but the free trial version marks the images with dollar signs. Before I go paying for anything, is there any free software that works?

Should the scanner have come with software that's any different than what I downloaded?
