Apple's iPod has become the Kleenex of MP3 players

Really? Kleenex? I get their reference; the brand name has gotten so big that it's used to describe all similar products, but comparing it to something that you blow your nose with almost sounds like an insult. How about "the Band-Aid of MP3 players," or even something RELATED, like "the Walkman of MP3 players?"
