Going to Eurotour (Berlin, Amsterdam). Need some advices.

Hello everybody! :)

I am going to Europe on my New Year holidays (from 29 Dec to 8 Jan). From 29 Dec to 3 Jan I'll be staying in Berlin in one of the hostels, and then on 4 Jan I'll move to Amsterdam by train and will stay there till 7 Jan. Then back to Berlin. 8th Jan is a departure day, back home.
There are 5 of us going this trip.

Could you please give me some advices about New Year celebration in Berlin? ;) We are just looking some place (maybe club or bar) to visit on New Year night. Or maybe some thoughts about crazy holiday in Amsterdam?

Maybe there are some Berlin or Amsterdam residents.

Oranienburgerstr. in Berlin in Kreuzberg is nice. Lots of nice bars and restaurants. I've always stayed in that area Mehringdamm. There's a nice Italian restuarant there called Primavera that's really cheap and amazing.

Can't really give you info on clubbing though. Sorry.

Does anybody know if there is a New Year sale in Berlin and Amsterdam in the beginning of January?
