Buying Broken MacBooks?

Can anyone give me some advice in buying broken MacBooks... what is the better choice, buying a MacBook that has had a drink spilled on them, or buying a MacBook with a cracked screen? And at what price would be a bargain on either of these above noted units?
 
Cracked screen is generally less expensive to fix... lots of screens on eBay. The logic board is very costly and is very hard to replace.
