Hi all,
Ive had my white 20"imac for exactly a year now.I upgraded the OS to leopard. But i have so much stuff on it like photos mp3 etc..its very sluggish even with 2 gb ram.
My gf got the alluminum one and its running smoothly tho she doesnt have 10k photos music files etc..
I also have a WD backup external using time machine..so im u sing most of my stuff is backing up. (Cross finger)

Now i want to start new year witha clean install of leopard and hopefully have all my photos music and mail! back on leopard without loosing it all.

How should i approach this. Should i backup them seperately?
thanks

Time machine backup is good if you are just doing a re-install. I don’t know if you will be able to restore Time machine if you do a fresh clean install, if it does will you be able to pick and choose what files you want? If you have to do a full restore from Time machine there is no real point in doing the clean install. I would back up everything separately just to be safe.
