OS X original icons (Tiger) missing

If you replaced them with the Get Info pasting method, just Get Info on the file and press backspace 🙂

those icons are in the coretypes bundle in the system folder. the originals have to be there you just have to know where they are.
open a finder window and press "command-shift-G" and paste this folder directory in "/System/Library/CoreServices/CoreTypes.bundle/Contents/Resources". the normal folder icon is called GenericFolderIcon.icns and the trash icons are called FullTrashIcon.icns and TrashIcon.icns

open the .icns in preview, click the main image so the smaller image in the sidebar is not highlighted and copy it. paste it into the get info window.
You could uninstall CB, make a new account, and copy the items from there maybe.
Also, the Trash problem might be fixed by selecting the small icon and pressing delete.

I think you face a dicison here: to reinstall OSX or not.

Did you do exactly what I quoted? because thats what he got from the same company (Panic) to restore icons that have been overwritten.
Besides its not Candybar thats at fault. This has always happened to people that have Shapeshifter installed with themes that have iContainer icons sets bundled with whatever theme. Then if the user applied an iContainer with Candybar it clashes with what Shapeshifter has applied. It's a known problem.
Yes, I did exactly what you told me to do. I don't have Shapeshifter or whatever installed. I only installed the trial version to change a few icons for Christmas. Then when I went to change them back, it said that I hadn't changed them in the first place. :-/

This is what it all looked like for christmas. I've been able to get all but those few back... Doesn't anyone know how to make any of the icons into a downloadable format?
