Ok, here's the problem. I've just moved into a new place and the only TV in the place is an old Ferguson one and the guy who owns it has lost the Remote Control. Without it, we don't seem to be able to force the TV to tune to its AV channel.

The only time it does this automatically, is when the Freeview box is turned on. So I've tried putting an putting the PS3 through an extra scart lead and putting that into the back of the Freeview box. When the box is turned on though, it defaults to immediately showing the TV rather than the PS3 signal.

To make matters worse, when you press the AV button on the Freeview remote control, you can see the PS3 menu for a split second before it reverts to the TV.

Can anyone help me with this at all? I'd be incredibly grateful. Is there any way around this or am I fighting a losing battle without the remote control for the TV?

Thanks so much in advance for your help

You could get one of those cheap universal remote controls, you can get them for less than £10.
