getting tv shows onto touch?

Hi Guys, first post great forum. Sorry if been asked before.

I'm trying to justify to myself reasons to get an ipod touch, what would swing it for me would be if I could tape a show from my TV then put it on the touch to watch on the train/plane etc. The shows on Itunes seem to be very limited.
I also want to do the same with DVD's and have found a program called Avex DVD ipod suite that looks like it will do that side of things, currently have a PC for computing but hoping to purchase the new IMAC shorlty so will hopefully be easier to get DVDs to the touch then?

But if I could tape a tv program easily then the touch will be mine :)

Goto www.video.google.com

Search for whaever tv program you want. Choose the video.google result not the youtube or other 3rd party result.

You will be given the option to download the video for your iPod. Saves the file to your desktop. Then just drag and drop into iTunes.. Simple ;)
