Star Trek: Conquest [Archive]

I just got Star Trek: Conquest for the Wii, and I think it's pretty fun. Sure, it lacks a real campaign mode, but it's still rather fun. The aiming system on the Wii is pretty intuitive, thought moving the ship around was a little hard for me to grasp. All in all, much better than Star Trek: Tactical Assault for the DS. Though I am disappointed with the fact that there are only 3 ships for each race.

So, what does everyone else think about this game?

I have the PS2 version I still have to open (been busy fooling around with my new PS3 :D). I'll try to play it tonight.

I do plan on getting the Wii version over the weekend... I hear the controls are better.

Looks fun. Too bad it's not available for the 360...there haven't been any really good Star Trek games in a long time. I'm starting to itch for one...makes me feel like a kid again.

I wish there was a game called "Star Trek: Picard", and you just ran around browbeating everyone with your superior intellect.

Or a Star Trek: Kirk. There's an item called "Redshirt" that gives you an extra life in case someone shoots you, and when you're low on health, your shirt rips and you go into bezerker mode.

Looks fun. Too bad it's not available for the 360...there haven't been any really good Star Trek games in a long time. I'm starting to itch for one...makes me feel like a kid again.Starfleet Command, Armada, and The Fallen were much better days.

How is the starship combat in Conquest? I just want to skirmish beating the tar out of other ships.

I'll let accurate representation slide a little.

I'm suddenly really interested in this game, as the screenshots look reminiscent of Star Trek: Starfleet Command (SFCII is one of my all time favorite games).

Actually, I don't think it's anything like Starfleet Command. I actually think its better. :)

Or "Star Trek: Will Riker" where you stride around with your head tilted forward like you're trying to knock down doors. :D

I actually got into modding the game back when I was 12...I released a pretty big mod to the game when I was 14 or 15. I still have the files for my near-final version with almost four times as many ships but I never released it...
