Sharing my Ethernet Connection via Airport?

I've been having troubles sharing my ethernet connection via airport. Below is a screen cap of my system preferences. Isn't a new network supposed to pop up when I turn it on? Or is there something I am missing?

The settings look correct. Have you connected your other computer(s) to this one via AirPort yet? 🙂

No. It doesn't seem to create a wireless network to which I can join my other computer...

It has been a long time since I tried this but... When I did it, I always turned on Airport and clicked on "Create Network". After creating an ad-hoc (computer to computer) network, I simply logged on with the other computer with the password that I created. Hope this helps. 🙂

Yeah, it doesn't create a network per se. Wise old The Reg is right in that you need to create an ad hoc (computer-to-computer) network. It might be easier in the long run to buy a dedicated wireless access point or router.
