Hi everyone,

I have a weird bug that appears in HL2. Every time I load a new section, the game crashes and I get an error message asking if I want to send a report. However, the game autosaves the next area so if I relaunch HL2 I can continue playing. This is, obviously, a nuisance since it takes a minute or two to relaunch and reload.
I am playing on
MacBook Intel Core Duo 2 GHZ
2 GB RAM
64 MB of VRAM from That infernal integrated graphics.

Has anyone else seen this before, or have clues on how to fix it? Many thanks.

P.S. - In the Video option it says I have hardware DirectX 8.1 and Software DirectX9. What's up with that?

It might be related to the GMA950.

It's really hit and miss running Half Life 2.

I thought so. Ah, well, what can you do? I suppose it's impossible to put a mobile graphics card in a MacBook.

You might want to try the latest drivers from Intel.

Vista (http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=N&ProductID=2880&DwnldID=14962&strOSs=163&OSFullName=Windows%20Vista*&lang=eng&iid=homepage+dc_gmad_vis)

XP (http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=N&ProductID=2876&DwnldID=14386&strOSs=44&OSFullName=Windows*%20XP%20Professional&lang=eng&iid=homepage+dc_gmad_xp)

I provided the links for both since you didn't mention the version of Windows.
