Here's the deal, I got my MacBook Pro a few days ago. After it goes to sleep or after extended use the F1-F12 keys are not functional. I believe this is a software issue, because holding Fn, I can access things like screen brightness, volume, etc. But the only way I can solve this issue right now is to reboot, which is an inconvenience for me.

EDIT: They do work. I found out that all the hotkeys were reset. For some reason. ... help?

Leopard.

Leopard.

Like, nothing was assigned to show the Dashboard, Desktop, Windows, etc.

What version of 10.5? Have you installed all the latest updates in software update?

10.5.1

EDIT: I think I know why now. It's because of WoW overwriting the keybinds? can I prevent this some how?

this is a leopard bug. the keyboard shortcuts for exposé, dashboard and the mini dictionary seem to disappear. it happens to me after i use time machine to restore a file. hopefully 10.5.2 will resolve this.

Go to System Preferences->Keyboard and check to see if the FN keys are on.

If you combine FN with F1-F12 keys it will work, but you can uncheck it in system preferences.

Supposedly there was a firmware update that fixed this issue for some people. And no, WoW doesn't touch your system preferences.
