Quick question..

With the forthcoming arrival of a Powerbook, what is the best way to share my cinema display with it and my currect desktop mac?

I just want to avoid unplugging the DVI cable from the back of the desktop (it's a cube so basically have to lay it sideways to get access) each time I want to use the powerbook with the cinema display.

Is there some kind of splitter?

Thx.

kvm's work very well and they aren't that expensive for standard vga. But, they are VERY expensive for dvi. this may be your only option though. It would allow you to use one mouse, keyboard and monitor for two computers. Here is an idea:

Thanks for the information chaps. At those prices I think I'll just have to plug and unplug.

It will give me time to make a cup of tea though

cheers.

This one from IOGear works fairly well. Problem is you still need to get the $100 ADC to DVI adapter for your Powerbook.
