I'm sure many have heard of this kernal panic issue with azureus and 10.5

My problem is with the alternatives. As much as I love Azureus, I'm willing to use transmission for a while until the problem is fixed from either apple's or azureus' side. Since I've come to that conclusion, I've tried out two different alternative programs, and neither have given me any luck.

Transmission starts preparing the torrent but it never starts downloading...Bittorrent takes forever to to start and sits at 0kb, while some of the files dont even start...I guess I'll give tomato torrent a shot, in the meantime, does anyone have any suggestions?

Try the Transmission nightly and make sure your ports are open

is there any easier way to find an open port instead of trial and error?
You pick one in your client and then you open it on your router if you're behind one. 😕

Tranmission can do it automatically if uPnP is enabled.
