not completely sure what you are asking, but on the MacBook Pros, you can choose between glossy and Matte.

Those monitors kick ass. I use the Mac Pro's at my Dad's company sometimes for school projects and such and I'm amazed every time by their clarity and brightness. I really want to get one of my own, but they are expensive.🙁

really stupid question, but i bought a MBP in June, how can I tell if I bought one with a glossy screen or matte?

is the screen reflective, if it is then it is probably glossy? If you bought it off of the online apple store and didn't choose glossy, then you have a matte screen.

The box will also say glossy if it is.
"15/17-inch _____ Macbook Pro" on the front. Nothing in the blank means it's matte; glossy in the blank means...

whats the part number? you can do a check of it online
glossy and matte have various part numbers
check your apple store account orde rhistory and see if it says glossy.
check it under a light. 😛

I maybe wrong but i think on the Apple website they are called "The New Glossy Apple Cinema Displays", or something similar.

Correct me if im wrong, but I think MBP's made after a certain date have glossy displays to match iMacs. And yeah, a glossy Cinema Display update would be awesome.

MBP's are matte with a glossy OPTION. And they cinema displays are not called the new glossy cinema display on the website and are matte. Have you seen a ACD, have you seen a glossy screen? I think a glossy screen and matte screen are easy to tell apart. ANTIGLARE means matte, check the mbp tech specs compared to the glossy imacs. It would say glossy if the screen were glossy. And no, a glossy ACD display update wouldn't be awesome at all, unless they left it as an option, but came matte standard.
