I got a new Mac Mini from Apple. It came with the latest 10.4.11, and a Leopard Install disk. I did a complete clean install, and then migrated my data from my eMac. It worked well for a couple weeks, then started sleeping without waking up. So, I just did another clean install, and migrated my data again - this time with no user info. It worked find all day, went to sleep at night, and would not wake in the morning. Now I can't even get it to boot up. There is no chime. I've put in the Leopard Install CD, and it won't boot to this DVD - and it won't chime. I turn it on, hear a whirl from the MacMini and then nothing ever happens. I've tried the following to eject the DVD with no success:
- Hold mouse button while rebooting (nothing, no chime)
- Hold Opt Cmd O F while rebooting (nothing, no chime)
- Press the eject button while rebooting (nothing, no chime)
Worse, I'm having the same problem with my Powerbook G4 12". It chime's and gets to a grey screen, sometimes with the apple/gear, sometimes not. It will boot from the Install DVD, and utilities says the hard disk has fatal errors (even though I've never had an issue with it before). On the Powerbook, I did not transfer data from the same eMac...
Would appreciate anyone's insight... thanks...
