anti virus for mac?

hi.. its my first time to use mac and its still weird for me because ive used windows for like 5 years.
anyway, do i need to install an anti virus for my macbook?
if so, wat av will u recomend?

yep^^ thats pretty much all you need to do to secure your mac plus turn on the firewall.

seriously vixen theres no point in using AV for Mac OS X... just sit back relax and enjoy using your mac! 🙂

if you do happen to download a windows virus dont worry it wont do anything as Mac OS X wont understand it. there may be a chance you could email it to other pcs though so if your worried about that use clamxav.
 
If you want Anti-virus is probably worth getting. Intego Antivirus is pretty good, Clam XAV was very slow last time I used it, but it is free.

Computing Sensibly is still really important on the Mac though.

What about Perian and real player.

I personally don't use AV, just safe practises such as running from a non admin account. If there is a virus you would probably find out about it on here very quickly.

yep understand that but theirs still no known virus's for macs
( or is that porn one still about ) so all that in the link i posted
must still hold true

granted its a digg at norton
