I'm just curious how many people would buy a wireless audio base station to push audio from their mac to their stereo/entertainment system if Apple made one.

What features would you want/expect?

I absolutely would want one.

The only feature I would want is a method of playing my files on the stereo wirelessly without using FM transmitting.
