Red Ring of Death...What are my options?

I was playing my 360 today (it's just over one year old, got it Christmas of 2006) and it froze mid-game. I tried rebooting it, but the dreaded RRoD is flashing (3 out of the 4 ringlets are lit up in red...only the top right one is not lit up at all)

I'm not very in the know with this stuff, as i am just a casual gamer....What are my options here? How long is the warranty for a 360? I have this sinking feeling it is one year, and I'm just outside it...

For the red ring of death Microsoft extended the 360's warranty to 3 years. Send it in.

With Live having all the issues it's having, Microsoft/Xbox Division is getting slammed with calls. When you get to the menu system, say "agent" into the phone.

That should get you speaking with a live person instead of a menu system.
