Home button doesn't work

It doesn't happen all the time, but the last few days the Home button will not take me back to the dashboard. The application I am currently in when this happens will continue to function properly, but I cannot go to any other application without first turning the phone off or soft-booting. Once the phone restarts, it opens with the dashboard and I can choose another application, but then it refuses to go back again. I can't seem to find a pattern with this. Its very random. Anyone ran across this one before? Thanks.

Try restoring the phone firmware. If it still happens it should be a hardware issue which will be covered under Apple Care (unless liquid damage, user damage).

Also, remove the sticker if you have not done so.

Restoring the firmware seems to have done the trick so far. I was a little concerned about all the data on my phone, but a sync just before restoring enabled it to all sync back perfectly after the restoration. Thank you.
