Sorry I know there have been hundreds of threads about this but I'm looking for something to walk me through this step by step since this is my first hack. I know I have to go to www.jailbreakme.com on my Touch but when I got to the bottom and click the thing, theres just a blue question mark on my screen. I checked the FAQ's and it said I have to restore it? But Im a noob and I dont know what that means.

The blue question mark means that you are running firmware 1.1.2.
In order to jailbreak, you need to downgrade.

go to youtube and watch some jailbreaking videos.

umm no just use forum search and type in jailbrak 1.1.2. just search next time

first you need to get the iPod so that it shows the connect to itunes icon on the screen. to do this hold down the sleep and home buttons at the same time until the iPod restarts (past the shutdown screen) and then let go of the sleep button. to downgrade you have to download the 1.1.1 firmware. just google it or something. then go in itunes and then you need to click on update ipod button but hold down option. then it should bring up a finder window where you choose the 1.1.1 firmware that you downloaded. and there you go it should be 1.1.1 now and jailbreakme.com will work
