It's morbidly beautiful.
Maybe Apple can be convinced it was a manufacturing defect? ;)

It's morbidly beautiful.
Totally agree.
It looks like the treadmill properly bent it, did it try taking it under the track.

Seriously, that's CRAZY! Care to give details on how that went down?

You need this:

Just got back from the gym. Those are scary pictures. You show good reason for Touch protection.
I have my Touch in the Otterbox Defender and I also purchased the armband for the gym. Glad I did. It may not look pretty, but I don't worry about it while I exercise.
Sorry for your loss.

I still don't have the courage to run with my iPhone. After seeing these photos, I'm not sure I ever will.

"I swear, Mr. Genius, I opened the boxes lid and it popped out, already bent!"
Haha, that sucks :( I'd go to the Apple Store and be really nice to them, and they might be sympathetic.

It happened to me today. Most expensive workout I've ever had. Darn strong things the iPod Nano. I cannot bend it back into shape, even my standing on it. I would hate to think what would happen to my hand if it got stuck in a treadmill.

How come I am thinking that this a joke and was found on some website with similar kinds of images. Being that a second person posted something similar with another ipod?
Plus, I don't know if it'd exactly break that way in those circumstances. Seems like there should have been more than just what is shown in the pictures.

wow sorry to see those pics.
this is one reason I wear a shuffle or my nano to the gym (whenever I go)

Sep 1, 2008, 11:12 AM
What exactly happened here?
I was running on the treadmill with my nano (the current gen) last year, and dropped it. It scooted off the back and went flying a couple feet, but it was perfectly fine. I had an invisibleShield on it, but that's it.

That's cool, my touch is basically indestructible,
mine fell on the treadmill when i was running, it didn't go under, but went into the wall behind at 12 Kmph, and survived.

people are gullable. Those are obviously fake. Look at how it broke? If it were to break to that xtremem it would have taken a lot more than we know and it would have been in a lot more pieces.

I wish my iPod had scooted off the treadmill into the wall at 12Kmph (nice pace by the way). Unfortunately, it fell in the crack beside the belt, was sucked in and under and then around the roller at the back. I picked it up on the floor under the front of the machine. "Oh holy smoke look at me iPod, she's cactus!".
Those images of the second iPod aren't from some joke website. I will be buying an armband for my next iPod.

Make sure you get a patent on this 'new design'. At least you'll get some royalty payments every time someone drops their Touch on the treadmill.

eeeeeeh, i have bad knees. i'm ok with working out twice as long for zero as much pain on my knees. tore them up in a high school basketball game, and it's never been the same. plus, working out for half an hour on an elliptical machine can help me burn around 700 calories and go 6.5 miles. hoorah.

yeeesh that's terrible.
i had that happen too just recently with my touch as well but yours seemed like it took a lot more damage. i'll post some pictures of mine too later but i don't think apple will give me a new one through warranty for that kind of destruction would they?
