Macbook Help

Hey all, a friend recently purchased a macbook and owns a HP Deskjet 3845. He installed the drivers via the provided CD but when attempting to add the printer using the inkjet driver 2.5, he gets an error message that reads:

An error occured while trying to add the selected printer.

Error: -9672

Any ideas why this is occurring? Mind you he is (of course) using OSX 10.5. (updating to 10.5.1)

for my hp photosmart printer, I didn't install any drivers. I doubt that because he installed the drivers it doesn't work though.
