I have an HP PSC 2355 printer, and it prints everything so weirdly. Everything is in god damn yellow! I've attached a scanned copy of it and the original page.
I'm running Mac OS X 10.5.1
it also prints random lines of purple.

Well, it was an old printer that I hated anyways, so i bought a new Epson 🙂

LOL, there's always a reason to buy things!

I bought a Brother HL-2070N laser printer last year to get away from the high costs of ink. I'm an English teacher, so I print a lot of B&W stuff anyway. It's been great.

Gah, these gutenprint drivers are horrific!
I'm returning this and getting something with better BUILT IN drivers. *cough*canon*cough*

Ack! I feel your pain. Gutenprint is a reasonable last-ditch refuge for old printers, but I really wouldn't rely on it to drive anything decent. HP's current printers are pretty decent (much better than some of their earlier stuff) and the drivers seem to work well (we have several here at work). Canon's always a good option too, as you say 🙂

i installed regular epson drivers, and it works OK, but I don't have my copy of remote desktop to distribute it with to my network 🙁

Ok, I returned the Crapson. Bought a brother. Hate it. absolutely ABYSMAL print quality.

Ink prices are no matter, i have them sorted out, but what printer should I get? Canon MX300 or Canon MP210?

I want a semi decent copy/scanner than can do that occasionally, but FANTASTIC photo quality. Fax would be a give or take, I could live without, but if the MP210 has better quality, i'd be glad to lose the fax.
