why does iTunes sync video i already have on my iphone?

iTunes syncs a Lord of the Rings video i already have on my iphone AGAIN, after i added some new music. It should have just synced the music bc thats the only new stuff i added, whats up with that? it just takes very long and its already on there

Yeah it does. I don't know what it does that but you can change the sync settings so it doesn't. But if you do that then you have to manually add your music to your iPod. I have mine set to manual because it drove me crazy too.

you want to UNCHECK the "Sync Movies" Box. Since the movies are already synced. The difficult part is STOPPING the sync as soon as you plug your iPhone in to your computer. During one of the workshops at the Apple Store, you are able to CLICK the "canceling sync..." which is in the iTunes window at the very top of your iTunes Homepage. You should click immediately on that little CIRCLE with the X in the middle. That'll get your syncing canceled, then you can go to VIDEO and UNCLICK "Sync Movies" and then you can sync your music, photos, ringtones and you should be good! 😎

im pretty sure this will still erase the movies off the iphone

Actually, I don't think it will. A couple of months ago my primary computer went down and I started using my laptop for syncing. Initially, I didn't have my libraries accessible through the laptop, yet when I synced my phone it didn't erase my info. I had everything unchecked from syncing contacts to photos to videos and nothing was erased. I synced this way for a couple of weeks before getting my system back together.

if you had everything unchecked, then in theory were u really syncing?
