I've got this tiny little unit that does just that. It'll record 10000 data points at whatever frequency you like. When you are done you can download the lot to your Mac.

The unit I have is an i-Blue 747 (http://www.transystem.com.tw/p-gps-iblue747.htm)

The software is MacTravelRecorder (http://www.mrose.nl/mactravelrecorder/)

If you want to use your Mac to log the location you will need a GPS unit to do that: your laptop has no GPS hardware. I think the unit I linked to will work (and they are very cheap)

i think gps2gex (http://www.grandhighwizard.net/gps2gex.html)+google earth+BT GPS will do what you are asking. i played w/ gps2gex two yrs ago and i forgot if it gave longitude/latitude... so maybe you have to decode it.

I see it does have a GPS feature, but I would suggest you contact their support about what your trying to do.
As for the feature list, looks shady, shame on you. People like you are the reason we have to protect our hard drives, scan our email attachments and secure our home wireless networks.
