Why dont i see a buddies or my own icon while writing to them. Even when they have buddy icons on my list i still only see there screen name and not there buddy icon while messaging. Why is that i have seen pictures on apple website of the buddyicons being displayed next to the message. Why isnt this happening for me?

People need to be in your buddy list so you can see their pictures in a chat. If that didn't happen, you'd have countless icons in your aim icon cache.

What? I dont know what your saying? I have people in my buddy list, and i dont see there pics during chat.

I think I know what he's talking about - I have people in my buddy list, View/Show Pictures slected, and still nothing shows up, not even the AIM Running Man. I just end up giving them a buddy icon on my end.
