Hey all. I have a $150 credit at newegg.com and was wondering what ram I need. I'm told I can upgrade to 4gb and, I'd like to do so.
It' a 24" iMac with 2.4ghz. It's new, Intel core duo2 or something. I was told the ram is 200 pin or something? Got a link to what I should buy? Thanks for your help.
See here (http://eshop.macsales.com/item/Other%20World%20Computing/53IM2DDR4GBK/) for an example of the specs you'd need.
Here (http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=40000381+1309121118&Description=PC5300+DDR2&name=4GB+(2+x+2GB)) are some on newegg.com. I can't guarantee they'll work, but they look promising.

Thanks for the quick reply.
From the ones listed at newegg.com, is any one manufacturer better than the other? Should I spend the premium and get Mushkin?
Again, I'd like to buy that OWC one but my credit is with Newegg :(

I think you'll be fine with any of them, but I'd read through the reviews first. I doubt you'll get more for the extra $25 or so, but I don't know what the guarantees are like.
